Rag Bag Textile Collection
17 January 2011
As some people may be aware we have a new textile recycling bank placed by the school gate.

This is a scheme run by Rag Bag to raise money for schools. Every collection we send to Rag Bag we get money for school depending on the weight we recycle. Environmental Club is responsible for bagging up the collection and arranging a pick up. So far we have had 2 collections and rasied £120 for school. Watch this space for an update!

Raised Beds
18 November 2010
Today we have built 6 new raised beds outside the year 2 classrooms. These were kindly funded by the Pembury School PSA and will now enable all classes in school to have thier own raised bed to grow fruits, vegetables and flowers.
Many thanks to Pepenbury and Oakley School for coming to help build the beds.

Nature Garden
01 July 2009
Pembury School took part in the Landscape for Learning scheme for schools. This enabled us to create the nature garden which was funded by RBS.

In order to do this we had to clear the garden of brambles, create the class areas and spread bark chippings over all of the paths. This was a huge task and was carried out over a number of weekends with the help of Pembury parents and a number of vollunteers.

A huge thank you to all involved!
