About
Respect is at the heart of our school.

PSA

Pembury School Association (PSA) is the name of the Parent Teachers Association (PTA), associated with Pembury School in Pembury, Kent, UK.

We are a committee of parents and teachers who raise money to buy the things for our children that the school budget just can’t stretch to.

The primary objective of the PSA is to advance the education of the pupils in the school, in particular by:

  • Raising money to buy things for the benefit of all the children and staff at Pembury School.
  • Developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school.
  • Engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.

We aim to raise money by organising fun, community based events for Pembury School pupils, families, teachers and staff that are inclusive for all members of our school community.  We investigate alternative funding such as, match funding, and grants from local and national charity organisations.  Pembury School Association is a registered charity and all monies raised by the PSA are held in a charitable bank account.   The Headteacher at Pembury School decides how to use the monies raised by the PSA and refers funding requests to the PSA committee for final approval.

Join our committee!  We need people from across the school community who enjoy working as a team and can bring fresh ideas and enthusiasm.  Our committee comprises a small friendly group of parents and teachers – we are all busy people with limited time to give, but we share a common goal in wanting to make sure school life at Pembury the best that it can be.  We don’t expect everyone to do everything – you can contribute ideas or contribute to specific tasks or events.  Come to our meetings and be part of planning and organising events, external funding and reviewing school funding requests.  Or if you have specific skills, find out about getting involved with managing the PSA finances, communications, marketing or administration.
